Official Free Practice Papers, School by School

Councils, schools and test companies publish free practice material themselves. Here is where to find it for each school, so you are working from the real format.

Links checked 1 October 2026. Schools move their pages each year, so if a link has changed, search the school's own website for “sample papers” or “familiarisation”.

How to use them

  • Keep the official papers for the last few months, so your child meets the real format when it matters most.
  • Sit them under timed conditions, then go through every mistake together.
  • Most schools publish only one or two papers, so use them to check readiness, not for everyday practice.
  • Some papers are a few years old (we give the year where we know it). Schools rarely change their format much, but check the school's own page for this year's arrangements.

The school does not publish sample papers and says no preparation is needed for its Welcome Morning. For the ISEB Pre-Test, see the ISEB link below.

Dulwich College

The school offers a free online familiarisation test and a creative writing specimen. Its older maths specimen papers, with mark schemes, still make good extra practice.
